Welcome to
Tiny Town Farms

How It All Began

Tiny Town Farms grew from the idea of providing fresh vegetables and small fruits, as a part of the Tiny Town community, sustainability initiative. We were searching for a way to integrate, year-round vegetable production in our communities, and our internet searches led us to Growcer.

Selecting The Growcer

Growcer’s proven hydroponic containerized growing systems, have proven successful in all regions across Canada. Their custom containers can produce consistent, pesticide free, fresh produce year-round, making them the ideal addition to a Tiny Town community. Tiny Town Farms expands on this idea and provides an opportunity for communities to sell fresh produce to its host city and surrounding towns.

Staying Intune

Through its website and mobile app, customers can select the items they are interested in purchasing, how often they want to purchase them, and schedule their order, based on crop harvests.

You are …

Hydroponically grown produce and small fruits are harvested at the peak freshness, last longer, tastes better, and packs more nutritional value in every bite. While not the cheapest available, as the old saying goes, “you get what you pay for” and while its not certified organic, its grown in a controlled environment without pesticides, because pests aren’t an issue.

We’ve always believed you are what you eat, and if you’re looking for ways to improve you and your family, start with what you eat.

Our Sales Model

We are still considering our options on how we will make our produce and small fruits available. Should we sell through grocery stores, farm markets, direct to restaurants, by subscription boxes to the public, or maybe some other way?

Do we offer limited options, preset packages, or a la cate. Do customers preorder, have a standing order, or can they order what and when they want? It’s difficult to meet everyone’s needs, and because our output is expected to be consistent, we will need a solid customer base to commit to buying our produce, when its harvested.

So do we offer subscriptions to a fixed customer list, but if we build our customer list to include more than we produce to account for people choosing to purchase on a regular cycle, will we lose customers when we don’t have enough for everyone?

The Road Ahead

We are working on our app, that will be connected to this website, where you will be able to pick the items, packages and order frequency to help us decide the best path forward. Watch for more details in the coming months.
